Medical Records Support - National Claims MedSource National 9 reviews - Fort Lauderdale, FL $12 - $14 an hour Position Description MedSource National currently has an opening for a computer-savvy and assertive, full time Medical Records Support position available at our national headquarters in Garden City, NY. This individual will be responsible for providing support to our National Claims Medical Records Department. This position is an entry level office position and training will be provided. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Prepare Medical Records for service providers Assure that the correct medical records are distributed Organize and mail medical records to service providers Retrieve medical records from different facets associated with clients Trouble-shoots service provider phone inquiries and problems Enter notes from client/claimant interactions into the IME Base system Receive and place telephone calls and route calls to appropriate departments Maintain solid customer relationship with service providers Minimum Requirements * High school diploma or general education degree. Higher degree preferred. * At least 2 years of work experience in a business/customer service environment required. * Excellent interpersonal skills, phone manners and customer service skills are essential. * Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently are required. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential. * Knowledge of medical terminology and/or Workers Comp/Liability insurance is preferred.
