Backup Payroll Processor and Field Representative

We are looking for a person who is motivated and enthusiastic about joining the MBCC team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the payroll process, for 10 different payrolls, with other tasks that may include various accounting responsibilities across all general ledger accounts and assisting the CEO with additional projects. We process payroll in-house from start to finish using the premiere restaurant accounting and payroll system called Restaurant 365.
It is our intention that the right person will grow into an HR Manager, encompassing not only payroll and benefits but also that human connection between the office and all staff.
As a payroll specialist, we are looking for someone who can:
Collect timesheet data and payroll information.
Maintain confidential information.
Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs.
Evaluate labor reports for accuracy.
Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits.
Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns.

This position will require:
Have achieved a BS in a related field.
A minimum of 2 years experience working in payroll or a similar role.
Has a grasp of GAAP and its application.
Experience working with payroll software.
Experience using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
High numerical aptitude.
Detail-oriented.
