Job brief
We are looking for an efficient Payroll Administrator to join our team who will be responsible for all aspects of managing employee salary data, ensuring payroll reports are accurate and payments are made on time. This applicant will need to utilize the company’s payroll software for payroll preparation and integration into the accounting database. The ideal payroll administrator will promote and effectively carry out the responsibilities of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the company’s mission and core values in a positive manner.
Payroll Administrator is required to maintain a high degree of confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the information they handle.
The perfect candidate would be willing to grow beyond the confines of this position to become more of an HR Generalist for our company. We are looking for the perfect candidate.
This position pays $25 an hour and is full-time Monday through Friday with options of the daily start time.
Responsibilities
Administer payroll for employees including required deductions
Administer benefits
Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll and benefit-related matters
Maintain employee file documentation
Manage advertising and inflow of job applicants
Occasionally set interviews and handle first-round interviews for vetting
Handle worker’s compensation reporting
Review and abide by company policies and procedures
Make sure account balances are correct
Resolve payroll errors
Provide payroll data for annual audits
Prepare and send out W-2
Responds to Reemployment and any other government-required requests
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specifically an intermediate understanding of Excel
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Good time management and organizational skills
A degree in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred
