Job Description
The Meeting Planner works across all business units and has the overall responsibility for planning, executing, and managing national conventions, customer events and sponsorships for Allergan Aesthetics. Responsibilities include developing a strategic plan that incorporates objectives, key product messages, product displays, onsite marketing strategy, customer engagement activities and designing exhibit booth layout for optimal product positioning and engagement. The Meeting Planner is also responsible for recommending sponsorships and symposium opportunities to internal constituents. The position includes managing each convention budget and executing each program on-time and within budget. This role requires interfacing with C-suite level executives and high-profile customers.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
· The Meeting Planner is responsible for creating a strategic plan for each event that includes key product messages, exhibit design/layout, digital content strategy, innovative ideas in driving customers to the exhibit booth, onsite advertising recommendations, high value sponsorship opportunities, pre-meeting marketing strategies targeting customers and internal constituents.
· Produce detailed event documents, outlining all activities and distribute to internal employees attending the convention.
· Planning and presenting at “Event Kick Off” meetings with internal stakeholders.
· Manages all activities and logistics associated with each convention. This includes managing external vendors, agencies, convention centers and city managers and show service vendors.
· The position requires the development of detailed meeting agendas, rooming lists, banquet event documentation, meeting room and audio-visual equipment requirements. This position is also responsible for venue selection, décor, and operations of customer events.
· Manages and directs the installation and dismantle crews at national conventions and provides on-site support for all major conventions to ensure goals are met and serves as a representative of the National Meetings team in the exhibit to assist internal employees, executives, and customers.
· Develop annual convention and society budget to provide the greatest ROI possible. Analyzes operating expenses to ensure sound expenditures and adherence to budget. Analyzes the impact of each convention and customer engagement in the exhibit. Makes recommendations to sales and marketing management to ensure we are getting the greatest ROI. Manages shipping, installation and dismantle services to ensure the exhibit is completed on time.
· Ensures sponsorship, tradeshow, events, materials, and activities are compliant.
· Collaborates with the society tradeshow managers and recommends changes to society regulations regarding exhibits when applicable and ensures Allergan’s representation is prominent.
Qualifications
The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
· 3-5 years tradeshow/convention/meeting planning experience
· Travel 30-40%
· Outstanding organization skills with close attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and follow through.
· Self-starter and independent individual with the ability to work with others to accomplish objectives.
· Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
· Ability to set priorities and manage projects with a high level of efficiency with minimal supervision.
· Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate.
Education
· B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, or equivalent experience required

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
