    • Implement safety policies and procedures and promote safety initiatives and good housekeeping practices.
    • Assign employees to workstations, making adjustments at the start of and during the shift in accordance with production schedules, customer priorities, company policies and production requirements.
    • Solve problems, production, or employee, as they arise.  This includes notifying management and requesting their assistance if necessary.
    • Direct and oversee proper production paperwork and safety records.
    • Review production reports to take corrective action or advise management of necessary steps to maintain proper quality and quantity.
    • Conduct department interviews, present department orientation, and oversee training of employees.
    • Investigate incidents, recommend, and implement disciplinary action after reviewing all circumstances with management and human resources, if necessary.
    • Promote continuous performance and quality improvement efforts, monitoring, and reporting processes.
    • Promote company philosophy and be available and approachable to all department employees.
    • Lead and facilitate monthly safety and communication meetings as directed.
    • Coordinate and cooperate with other shift leads and department clerks to help meet company goals and objectives.
    • Maintain a presence on the shop floor.
    • Direct and advise maintenance coordinators and lead mechanics of daily production priorities.
    • Keep the manager informed, on a timely basis, of department activities and any problem situations.
    • May perform various production roles during and out of busy season.
    • Act as a JDE Superuser, completing corrections and investigations when needed.
    • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of Management.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
    • 5+ years manufacturing or production experience.
    • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
    • Willing to learn JDE/ERP system.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
    • Ability to work in a team and individually to carry out broad assignments.
    • Ability to work required overtime.
    • Ability to assess situations and make decisions accordingly.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.

  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION: GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED NURSING PROGRAM

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate through spoken and written English.
