  • Responsibilities

    The Machine Shop Programmer is responsible for the programming of computer numeric controlled (CNC) machine.  Must work with supervisor and others to ensure that production schedules meets the required due date. Must be able to work from complex blueprints, solid models and step files, and verbal or written instructions with minimal supervision.

    " Will be responsible of creating CNC Mills & Lathe programs. " Experience with 4 and 5 axis programming and knowledge of high-speed machining. " Maintain all CNC programs and ensure accuracy of all instructions through comparison with original blueprints and design program network to increase efficiency as assigned. " Preparing proper files for the machines including creating work instructions and shop aids. " Establish all reference points and provide assistance to machine paths and calculate all angular and linear dimensions and design sequence for all machine parts and prepare geometric layout with help of various software. " Identify instruction errors and assist to resolve them to ensure appropriate trial run and design new programs for production CNC machines as assigned to ensure quality. " Analyze and recommend all cutting tools with the proper speed and feeds for CNC programs. " Prepare and verify all technical documents for CNC programs. " Provide all required tooling information and reduce cycle time for programs as assigned. " Design all new processes to reduce time for CNC programs. " Must be a US Person: US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident

    EDUCATION: " Certificate of education from two-year College or technical school, or equivalent and /or training required. " Minimum 10 years of experience programming CNC equipment with Mastercam and solid modeling experience with Solidworks " Experience with machine shop environment and CNC machining techniques required. " Experience with metal processing or plating is preferred. " Ability to operate CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes a plus. " Must be familiar with Military Specifications, ASME Y14.5M GD&T, and interpreting engineering drawings.
