The Opportunity
The Fluence and Radiological Analysis Engineer position is within the Core Design and Safety Analysis organization in the Fuel Business Unit which is responsible for a broad range of activities including conducting fluence analysis of core components, criticality analysis for storage pools, decay heat determinations and dose calculations while using the industry’s most advanced tools. The engineering activities are coordinated with other Framatome fuel engineering departments both locally and worldwide. This opportunity is located in either Lynchburg, Virginia or Richland, Washington and remote work options may be considered.
What You’ll Do at Framatome
You will be responsible for radiological analyses for commercial power plants and R&D efforts, using the latest codes and methods for nuclear applications. Typical assignments include:

Who You Are
You have demonstrated PWR or BWR analysis experience. You have experience in computer model development and application (e.g., MCNP, SCALE, CASMO, SIMULATE, or other nuclear industry analysis code). You display positive and effective team interaction skills and value positive peer relationships. You place a priority on leadership and initiative and can be counted on to maintain focus on customer requirements. You have the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments and execute them on-time with quality. You have developed effective written and oral communication skills.

What You’ve Accomplished
You have completed a BS, MS, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, or a related degree (e.g., physics with nuclear concentration). You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 3 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.
Our Total Rewards Package
The range of base salary for the position is between $79,000 - $107,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
