  • Responsibilities

    WR is seeking a Senior Model-Based Systems Engineer who will be responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, update and analysis of SysML models for various systems. This person will be focusing on component interface modeling and systems integration.

     

     

    Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

     

    • Designs and develops system architecture using a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach.
    • Develops software script to create customer output products.
    • Designs and develops architecture data models including data gathering, SysML diagram, activity diagram, and sequence diagram development.
    • Models systems using UML, SysML, and UPDM modeling languages.
    • Supports customer meetings, data gathering activities, and site visits.
    • Creates custom output reports for the customer using software scripts to automatically pull information from the model.
    • Travel required 5-10% of the time.

     

     

     

    Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

     

    • Bachelor of Science Degree (Master of Science preferred) from accredited college or university in:
      • Systems Engineering
      • Information Systems
      • Computer Science
      • Software Engineering
      • Related engineering/technology-focused disciple
    • Six (6) years of experience including, but not limited to:
      • Leveraging either NoMagic’s MagicDraw modeling tool suite, Innoslate, or IBM’s rational product suite (Rhapsody and DOORS) to model using UML and SysML.
    • Experience performing:
      • Operational analysis to define and decompose tactical mission needs in sysml standard formats and viewpoints.
      • Requirements analysis to assess operational needs against candidate architectures to develop performance, functional, and interface requirements for various platforms, systems, and operations at multiple levels of detail.
      • Architecture analysis to define and decompose platforms and systems into progressively granular levels of detail.
    • Familiarity and demonstrated experience writing software scripts.
    • An understanding of current and future military systems architectures.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong problem solving abilities, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.
    • Works well in teams and is productive in a collaborative environment.
    • Preferred certification by Object Management Group.
