  • Responsibilities

    WR is seeking a Government Property Manager to become a part of a growing organization within the Government Property Management team. This person will be providing complete support with Government Property administration to ensure compliance with all government and company regulatory policies.

     

     

    Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

     

    • Responsible for maintaining organizational government property procedure by supporting companywide administration functions for all government property.
    • Administers the terms of contract provisions that specify the company’s obligations to acquire, control, use, inventory, care for, report, and dispose of property.
    • Acts as the organizational representative to government agencies during annual property analysis and audit, and in all government property matters
    • Maintains adequate surveillance of subcontractor government property as per contract flow-down clauses. 
    • Monitors and ensures the integrity and accuracy of database records as well as the hard-copy records produced
    • Investigates, reports, and recommends preventive/corrective measures for lost or damaged property ensuring reduced liability.
    • Determines property acquisition requirements, product availability and authority to fulfill company, program, or contractual obligations.
    • Uses applicable databases to manage and communicate property information and to establish property records for company or government property.
    • Reviews records for accuracy and reviews and/or develops processes, tools, and procedures for compliance to established policies and regulations.
    • Tracks property movement and provides complete documentation packages using applicable government or company forms to reflect change of ownership, accountability, or location in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts, or corporate policy.
    • Maintains complete accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition.
    • Plans, organizes, and conducts physical inventory of property and reconciles results to ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Completes all property related activities at completion or termination of contract including disposition of property.
    • Develops and ensures compliance with all government requirements, contract changes, and best business practices.
    • As required, provides professional written or verbal communication with customers, Contracting Officers, internal managers, and DCMAO representatives.
    • Provides training/presentations to staff on property administration requirements.
    • Ensures equipment preventative maintenance is performed in accordance with published periodicity and screens new arriving equipment to establish maintenance requirements.

     

     

    Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

     

    • Bachelors in Business Administration or similar field.
    • Fifteen (15) + years of experience in warehousing, material flow, parts, and assemblies within or between departments and government agencies.
      • Including, but not limited to: tracking and compiling reports detailing quantity and type of materials specific to Government Property Administration.
    • Membership in National Property Management Association (NPMA), Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM).
    • Knowledgeable in FAR/DFARs and applicable property regulations, Federal Databases (Fedlog, PUBFLIS, WEBFLIS, PCARSS), DRMO/Plant Clearance processes, Forms DD1149, DD1348, DD1662, DOD Instructions re: SOM, GOM, and IUID.
    • Proficient in MS Office, Excel and an inventory tracking database.
    • Participated in and experience with a DCMA Government property audit within a company or as a consultant.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Possess characteristics of being flexible, proactive, and responsive.
    • Must have excellent organizational, record keeping skills, attention to detail, ability to work and independently, but as a valued team player.
