    Framatome is seeking a Principal Responsible I&C Engineer for our Mill Ridge Road office in Lynchburg, Virginia. The position will support the Modifications group within IBPE Engineering. Job responsibilities will include performing as the Responsible Engineer for design change packages and technical evaluations for projects that support operating nuclear plants. The organization is a technical unit of the Installed Base Engineering organization. The Modifications section is responsible for design/engineering change packages, technical evaluations, and 10CFR50.59 Reviews for operating plants.

     

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Perform Licensing Review for the new design Existing Plant Licensing Basis documents and FSAR
    • Develop 10CFR50.59 Reviews for the design changes
    • Engineering Dispositions
    • FSAR Markups
    • Develop Engineering Changes in accordance with nuclear fleet standard IP-ENG-001, including Engineering Dispositions and justifications for the changes
    • Review plant drawings and other documents and mark up to reflect new design
    • Develop Engineering Technical Evaluations per utility procedures

     

     

    TRAVEL: Up to 25%

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY:

    • BS in Electrical Eng'g/Eng'g Tech. plus a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience. An advanced degree may be substituted for related exp. (MS 1-2 yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.). In applicable states a PE license will be accepted in lieu of 4 yr engineering degree

     

     

    THE FOLLOWING MAY BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION:

    • Related nuclear power plant experience
    • Experience with operating plant engineering changes and 10CFR50.59 reviews associated with I&C and electrical systems.
    • A NRC RO/SRO License or Certification
    • Strong communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
    • Excellent problem identification and problem resolution skills
    • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
    • Demonstrated highly developed leadership qualities
