  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Ensures accurate tray assembly on patient tray line.
    • Responsible for set up, breakdown, and cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
    • Delivers patient meals and supplements, as well as collects dirty trays after meal service.
    • Stocks nursing unit pantries with nourishments and dietary supplies, utilizing first-in, first-out system.
    • Maintains clean work environment, monitors equipment and stocks work unit with supplies.
    • Maintains proper appearances by complying with department dress code.
    • Washes equipment, dishes and utensils following proper sanitation procedures.
    • Maintains accurate sanitation and temperature logs in work area according to regulatory requirements.
    • Serves guests efficiently, courteously, and in a friendly manner.
    • Takes orders for coffee and espresso beverages.
    • Operates cash register, handles cash from guest transactions in a careful and accurate manner and follows all cash handling procedures.
    • Learns how to make all of the beverages properly and ensures they are made consistently every time.
    • Prepares and serves coffee and espresso-based beverages to guests in a timely manner.
    • Discusses and answers guest questions about specialty coffee and espresso beverages.
    • Suggestively sells to all guests to increase the check average.
    • Works as part of a team, respects fellow team members and asks for help when needed.
    • Understands the necessary functions of operating a café such as opening and closing procedures, quality assurance of all products, maintenance of equipment and cleaning procedures.

    OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists with receiving inventory items.
    • Attends required orientation and in-service programs.
    • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    • High school education or equivalent preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Previous food service experience preferred.  On the job training provided.

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Requires the ability to read, write, and understand written instructions.
    • Exhibits strong customer service and problem solving skills.
