    MelroseWakefield Healthcare is hiring a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our passionate team of caregivers in north suburban Boston. Our DAISY award-winning team offers a shared-governance model, a professional RN development program, tuition reimbursement and much more. 

    38 bed Med Surge/Tele Unit

    • This unit cares primarily for adult acute care patients who have a wide variety of diagnosis and co-morbidities.
    • Patients can be medical or post-surgical.
    • The most common medical diagnoses are pneumonia, UTI, COPD, GI/GU, chest pain and syncope, with the most common surgical patients being orthopedic, GI/GU/GYN and general.
    • These patients can require telemetry monitoring.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Provide quality care to patients and their families. 
    • Assess, plan, and evaluate care for a complex patient population. 
    • Respond to a full range of health and illnesses. 
    • Adhere to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 
    • Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred. 
    • Candidates without bachelor’s degree in nursing will be considered but must be enrolled in Baccalaureate program within 1 year of hire. 
    • Valid Massachusetts RN license. 
    • CPR.
    • ACLS Certification preferred upon hired but required within 6 months of hire.
    • Training is provided
