• 5+ years of steelmaking experience with direct exposure to Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) operations, including scrap charging, melting, refining, and tapping
• Proven leadership experience supervising hourly teams in a melt shop environment, with a strong focus on safety, productivity, and crew development
• Deep understanding of EAF process controls (power input, chemistry adjustments, slag practices, electrode management) and ability to troubleshoot operational issues in real time
• Demonstrated track record in safety leadership and compliance, including OSHA standards and safe work practices in high-temperature, heavy industrial environments
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives (yield optimization, tap-to-tap time reduction, cost control, and quality consistency) within a mini-mill setting
