    Meltek Inc. is a pre-seed Cleantech startup whose mission is to expand reliable access to renewable energy resources in the United States and abroad. By enabling homeowners and small businesses to optimize their renewable energy and storage systems Meltek will empower more homeowners and small businesses across the United States to save money on electrical costs while enjoying greater access to clean energy.

    ROLE –

    • The Marketing Intern will work with Meltek’s management team to conduct marketing activities, such as developing marketing collateral, aiding with customer discovery, determining customers’ needs, and explaining how Meltek products can help.

    RESPONSIBILITIES –

    • Determine customer wants and needs, and how best to satisfy them
    • Create and conduct market initiatives that match customer needs with product capabilities
    • Develop and execute strategic plans for customer market segments, sizing, targeting, and acquisition.
    • Work closely with management to develop go-to-market strategy and coordinate successful product launch
    • Assist with business development, funding & expansion opportunities, and grant writing when needed
    • Pitch product value and spearhead outreach to major customers and customer segments.
    • Develop marketing materials, social media, and online presence
    • Design and oversee series of ad campaigns to increase brand awareness.

    TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS –

    • Degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, MBA Candidate, or similar area.
    • Experience in Sales or Marketing.
    • Prefer familiarity with software and/or renewable energy markets.
    • Prefer familiarity with renewable energy technology through work experience and education.

    PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS –

    • Clear, precise, and persuasive verbal and written communication skills

    • Disciplined self-starter with an entrepreneurial and creative mindset

    • Proactive in seeking and presenting solutions to difficult problems

    • Preferred - demonstrable interest in social impact or corporate social responsibility

    LOCATION – Remote

    NOTE: This position will be funded through the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) Clean Energy Internship Program (Link). Only New York State-based applicants will be considered.
