    Purpose

    Provide value-added quality service and sales to the membership by efficiently, accurately and continuously handling member transactions and cross-selling credit union products and services. Provide one-stop service to members in all aspects of new accounts, loans, and account research. Make appropriate decisions on member loan requests to meet both the financial needs of the member and Credit Union.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    E30% - Process and/or Approve consumer loans and cross-sell all Credit Union products and services at the first point of contact within credit union guidelines and parameters. Proficient in reviewing member credit reports to identify member financial needs. Proficient in opening and servicing all credit union accounts and ability to perform complex account research to resolve issues, efficiently and effectively. Proficiently provides prompt and accurate information to the members.

    E20% - Performs all member-related functions and activities resulting in delivering superior member service within credit union guidelines and parameters. Assist in organizing in-branch promotions and/or Field of Membership presentations that meet desired results. Handles member correspondence, resolves inquiries and provides product information. Maintain corporate and professional standards with all members, CU staff, written correspondence, and overall personnel and branch appearance. Create and deliver correspondence and communicate with members as necessary to maintain high service delivery standards. Provide an in depth level of knowledge and skills in the operational aspects of the member service area.

    E20% - Supports the needs of the member service department by assisting wherever needed to meet member demand with sales and service delivery. Promote a sales environment by selling all credit union products and services face to face or through telemarketing events. Obtain proficiency in conducting and/or organizing in-branch promotions and/or Field of Membership presentations as directed by management. Required to meet and maintain minimum personal sales objectives assigned by management.

    E20% - Maintains effective communications between branch and other departments. Maintains a willingness to provide support to other branches, staff, and management in order to achieve exceptional member service.

    E10% - Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Expectations

    To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.

    To balance at least 98% of the time within the dollar limits established by policy.

    Complete all work processes with minimum of errors and a high degree of quality with minimal supervision.

    Consistently meets and maintains minimum sales objectives.

    Supports the needs of the member service department by assisting wherever needed to ensure member demands are met within sales and service delivery standards.

    Performs all duties in compliance with credit union policies and appropriate regulatory statutes.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Experience: Minimum of five years loan processing, funding, and decisioning experience. Minimum of five years customer service and retail sales experience with a proven track record. Thorough knowledge of financial products and services.

    Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.

    Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

    Other Skills: Intermediate knowledge of computers and applications, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Browser Experience, Good verbal and written skills.

    Must be fluent in Spanish.
