Position Summary:

As a Member Service Representative/Teller, you will be the face of our organization, providing top-notch service to our members while handling a variety of financial transactions. You will play a crucial role in fostering relationships, understanding member needs, and promoting our products and services. Your contributions will help ensure our members have a positive banking experience.

The position will require working at both the University of New Orleans and Chalmette branches based on coverage needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet members by phone and in person warmly and assist with their inquiries, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Process a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, checks, and money orders accurately and efficiently.
• Resolve member issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating when necessary.
• Promote and cross-sell additional products and services to meet member needs and organizational goals.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge, policies, and industry trends to provide accurate information to members.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a customer service or banking role is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on member satisfaction.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and handle cash accurately.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and financial software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior cash-handling experience at a bank/credit union is preferred.
