  • Responsibilities

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The Member Services Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to current members of our credit union while seeking opportunities to expand, grow and develop our membership base. MSRs must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, strong work ethic, a genuine interest in helping others and a willingness to learn and grow in the financial industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Submit new member account and loan applications, order debit cards, originate wire transfers, perform Public Notary and assist with various other credit union products and services
    • Assist members with maintenance and servicing needs such as change in address, telephone numbers, email, account titling, name changes, digital banking, fraud reporting, etc.
    • Respond to members' inquiries in person, by phone or email
    • Provide guidance and support to members on accessing and using credit union services and support them in understanding all the benefits of services we offer
    • Make proactive, outbound calls to members and prospects
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager, Teller Supervisor and/or Deposit Operations Manager
    • Ensure compliance with all credit union policies and procedures

    Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and interactions

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Good communications and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work as a team
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Experience working in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution or similar sales and service position
    • Cash handling skills preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
