Role Overview
- Location: Irving, TX (100% On-site)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | Standard Business Hours
- Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
What You Will Do
As the Director of Information Services, you will be the bridge between organizational strategy and technical delivery. You will guide the design, development, and deployment of critical systems while fostering a culture of innovation and cost-effective service delivery.
- Strategic Leadership: Propose implementation methods for designated programs and drive continual process improvement in application services.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and report updates to ensure efficient resource utilization and prioritization of the IS department's workload.
- Systems Optimization: Lead the analysis of current systems and procedures to develop system designs and workflow modifications.
- Executive Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to set directions and establish clear expectations regarding organizational strategies.
- People Management: Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop a high-quality team. You will be responsible for counseling, role modeling, and interpreting departmental policies for your staff.
- Service Excellence: Establish end-user support service levels (SLAs) and report metrics to business leadership to drive technology improvements.
What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business , or a related field (Submission of degree is required with application).
- Mandatory Experience: * Health Plan industry experience is strictly required.
* 5+ years in an Information Technology leadership role.
* 3+ years of experience in implementation and optimization within a complex, multi-site environment.
- Technical Knowledge: * Strong knowledge of major healthcare information systems.
* Experience with Epic and associated products is strongly preferred.
* Familiarity with ITIL support and delivery processes (ITIL Certification is a plus).
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and managing multi-million-dollar departmental budgets.
- Communication: Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills for interacting with matrixed leadership and diverse teams.
