Does your growing relationship with Jesus lead to sharing Him with others in worship? Do you love mentoring and leading worship bands on Sunday mornings?
Memorial Church of Quarryville is investing in ministries – including worship – so we're looking for someone to lead our Sunday morning worship team.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Sunday Mornings and Special Services
- Lead weekly practices to equip the Sunday Worship Team for primary week-to-week congregational singing leadership and service music.
- Provide vocal and instrumental leadership as part of the team – including inviting people into worship and/or leading in moments of prayer.
- Lead during occasional special services - Christmas Eve, for example.
Planning
- Prayer & Planning meeting (monthly) to discuss themes and sketch out the months ahead.
- Select and arrange music in conversation with the Lead Pastor and Sunday Team.
- Schedule songs, instrumentalists and singers (We use Planning Center Online).
EXPECTATIONS
- Maintains God-ordained priorities in life: Jesus Christ first, family second, and ministry third. Treasures spiritual disciplines for growing in grace, values mutual encouragement.
- Invests in and invites the lost to know Jesus Christ and to grow in Christian fellowship.
- Comfortable singing lead, skilled playing a guitar or keys. Comfortable leading prayer or word, and actively inviting the congregation to join in.
- Can lead rehearsals and select music according to theme and abilities of musicians.

- Passes all Safe Sanctuary-required clearances.
COMPENSATION
- Bi-weekly compensation based on 8-10 hours per week average.
- Sundays off and paid vacation days based on tenure. Continuing education funds for coaching/training available after one year of service.
- Funerals and Weddings (according to your availability) - Honoraria paid separately by the family.
