Qualifications
High school diploma, or equivalent
Six (6) months hospital or retail pharmaceutical work experience
Active pharmacy technician license with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy
Successful completion of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination
Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and products, basic computer, word processing, spread sheet, and database management skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Responsible for extending the mission and values of Truman Medical Center by understanding and treating each customer, patient and staff member in a dignified manner with respect, kindness, and understanding and subscribing to the organization's commitment to quality and service
Oral and written skills accurately convey ideas, facts and technical information in a manner easily understood by staff and professionals both internal and external to the organization
Proficient analytical skills in gathering information from users, defining work problems, and designing options to resolve problems
Demonstrates critical thinking skills related to pharmacy systems
Demonstrates initiative, good change management skills, and a high level of personal motivation
