    Lansing ASC Partners, LLC is comprised of two multi-specialty ambulatory surgery centers (Lansing Surgery Center and Genesis Surgery Center) in Lansing, MI. This is a fast paced environment that is driven to reach the highest quality and satisfaction outcomes.

    The Pre Assessment Registered Nurse is responsible for teamwork and coordination of nursing care. This includes interviewing patients before scheduled procedures, performing a nursing assessment and reviewing preoperative orders for diagnostic tests. The Pre-Assessment nurse provides education according to facility policy and procedure as ordered by the physician. The Pre-Assessment Nurse documents explanation of preoperative instructions to patient and/or significant other/ guardian. This position requires frequent and constant judgment.

    Required Skills

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Current RN in the state of Michigan in good standing
    • Preferred minimum 2 years experience
    • Positive and effective communication skills essential
    • Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
    • Strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
