    Job Description

    We are currently searching for an IT Assistant to work with our IT Manager in our Brooklyn, NY, HQ location. ( This is an ON-SITE position. No work-from-home is available.)

    The primary role of the IT Assistant is to support the IT Manager in maintaining all our locations' networks, servers, security programs and systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal efficiency and functionality to support our organization's goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer Technologies:
      • Environment: Microsoft, Windows
      • Applications: Salesforce, SAP, SQL Server
      • Infrastructure: Global SD-WAN
    • Maintain accurate and complete documentation for company policies and procedures.
    • Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions.
    • Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for outside servicing as needed.
    • Conduct network troubleshooting to segregate and identify general network problems.
    • Identify and report system issues to vendors. Monitor and test the resolution of those issues sent to vendors.
    • Monitor backup systems and procedures to ensure data security.
    • Sets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals and accounts, assigning security level.
    • Handling customer and colleague queries regarding networks, systems, and applications, often through ServiceNow.
    • Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment.
    • Be able to go to all locations to provide support when needed, which includes but is not limited to:
      • Provide backup technical support for the network, including router, firewall, and wireless access point.
      • Assist users in determining appropriate software solutions.
      • Create and maintain IT equipment inventory for all locations.
    • Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have:

    • An undergraduate or Graduate degree with a technical emphasis. (Degree in progress okay)
      • Common degrees for this program include (but are not limited to): Computer Science, MIS, Data and Analytics, Software Development, Infrastructure, Cyber/Network Security.
    • Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Great attention to detail.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
    • Experience in network management and help desk support is appreciated.
    • Flexibility to travel to our branch locations within New York and/or New Jersey.

    Additional Information

    Job Type : Full-time
    Schedule: Monday to Friday
    Salary: $20.20 - $25.00 /hr equivalent to $42,000 - $52,000 /year
    Work Location: 362 Kingsland Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222
    This is an onsite position. No work-from-home is available.
