GROWING NORTH SHORE FOOD MANUFACTURER SEEKING HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) SPECIALIST FOR A NEWLY CREATED ROLE IN OUR DANVERS PLANT.

This newly created position is a valuable team member who will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for HR and payroll functions including assisting with hiring and onboarding new employees, processing payroll, managing employee documentation, assisting with benefits, and various other responsibilities. The right individual for this position will have a strong attention to detail, be well organized, be able to manage multiple projects proficiently, work independently, and will adhere to strict deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screen, recruit, and interview potential employees
• On-board and train new employees
• Provide accurate and timely information for the management team and team members.
• Assist with managing payroll documents and processing payroll.
• Assist with benefit enrollments and open enrollment meetings.
• Review and understand sensitive and confidential information.
• Create, process, maintain and store a variety of documents and administrative records.
• Manage information for multiple systems.
• Generate reports and analyze data.
• Accurately maintain employee files
• Process weekly payroll and assist with reporting requirements.
• Assist accounting team as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or other related fields
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or Psychology.
• Will consider mix of education and experience for right candidate.
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws
• Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred
• Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
• Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Adobe suite of products.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with all employees in a multi-cultural environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
