Job Summary

The Nines Men’s Grooming is seeking a skilled barber or cosmetologist experienced in clipper cutting, men’s haircutting, and beard work. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality grooming services and excellent client care.

Training is available for additional services offered at the shop.

The Nines offers an upscale yet comfortable environment and is family-owned by native Austinite sisters, with a focus on quality work, great clients, and a relaxed, professional atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Evaluate customers’ face shape, hair features, and personal preferences to recommend appropriate haircuts and hairstyles.

Wash hair at hairwashing stations with appropriate products

Apply hair products, style hair, & give instructions

Execute flawless haircuts, trims, and shaves

Abilty to arrive to work 30 minutes before your shift for day preparation

Complete and start services on time. In addition to checking out your own clients. Giving them tours, and offering beverages.

Find time throughout the day to help with salon chores

Qualifications

Successful completion of licensing as a cosmetologist or barber is required

Proven experience as a stylist, hairdresser, or similar role is preferred

In-depth knowledge of hair cutting techniques and best practices
