Job Summary

We are seeking a Mental Health Aide to join our team! As a Mental Health Aide, you will assist our staff with group activities and the day-to-day care of our patients. You may occasionally accompany patients for tests or doctors visits, assist clients around the facility and help with organizing supplies and strive to create a safe, clean environment for our patients and other staff. The ideal candidate is compassionate, works well within a team environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist counselors, nurses & other staff members in day-to-day care of our mental health patients.

Maintain a clean, safe, healing environment for all staff and patients.

Assist clients with recreational activities.

Encourage socialization & communication.

Maintain excellent records of patient interactions, and report anything concerning immediately.

Restock and organize supplies, as needed.

Assist clients during meal service.

Aid clients in following program rules and regulations.

Establish rapport and ongoing therapeutic relationships with clients.

Provide clients with encouragement and positive feedback.
