The Mental Health Consultant will provide expert consultation, training, and support to individuals, families, schools, and organizations to promote mental wellness, improve behavioral health outcomes, and enhance overall functioning. The consultant will work collaboratively with clients and partner agencies to assess needs, design tailored interventions, and deliver professional recommendations grounded in best practices.
Provide mental health consultation and guidance to individuals, groups, and organizations.
Conduct assessments to identify behavioral, emotional, and systemic needs.
Develop and implement mental health strategies, interventions, and training programs.
Offer coaching and support to staff, educators, parents, or leaders to improve mental health outcomes.
Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.
Deliver workshops, presentations, and educational sessions on topics such as stress management, trauma-informed care, and workplace wellness.
Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation in accordance with professional and legal standards.
Stay informed about current mental health trends, research, and best practices.
Education: Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Licensure: Active state licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) preferred or eligibility for licensure.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in mental health, behavioral consultation, or related field.
Strong knowledge of mental health principles, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
Cultural competence and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health care.
Experience consulting in educational, corporate, or community-based settings.
Proficiency in program development, evaluation, and data-driven decision making.
Experience facilitating group discussions and trainings.
Familiarity with telehealth and virtual consultation platforms.
