The Family Counseling Group of NY (FCGNY) is a mental health private practice located in Queens, NY. Our practice provides a professional interdisciplinary team environment that allows for an excellent work environment. All patients are screened and have mild to moderate symptoms, which allows for a manageable and flexible caseload. Our mission is to provide quality mental health services focused on underserved communities and providing culturally-competent therapy. We provide, individual, family, couples and group therapy.

FCGNY is looking for Mental Health Counseling Intern or Social Work intern. Interns MUST be able to commit to 2-3 days per week for at LEAST 1 year for face to face / hybrid sessions.

Qualifications:

• Must be in a Masters-level Mental Health Counseling program or in a Master Social Work Program

• Professional Liability Insurance (can be obtained during on boarding process)

• Must be located in NYS or able to provide services to clients in Queens, NY

• Must be allowed to intern under a LCSW or Psychologist Supervisor

• Bilingual Spanish is a plus

Information:

• Clinical Supervisor provided on a weekly basis

• Expected hours: 14 per week min (more is required by program)

• Flexible schedule Schedule: • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed
