Mental Health & Hygiene Associate Attorney

We are a prominent mid-size law firm with a high-volume practice looking to increase its talented ranks of attorneys by adding an Associate Attorney, with 2-3 years of experience, to its unique Mental Health Litigation and Advocacy Department.
Successful Candidate
The candidate will have experience in all phases of litigation including drafting pleadings, research, motion practice, and making frequent court appearances (remotely or in-person as the courts reopen) in a variety of venues. The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of Mental Hygiene Law Article 81 and Article 9 proceedings as well as a working knowledge of Family Court proceedings. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the value of advocacy on behalf of those affected by mental illness and various addictions.
The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate concisely and persuasively; be personable and frequently meet with and interact with clients, court staff, and adversaries. The candidate has a strong work ethic and is a true team player interested in working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
