Part-Time/Full-time Opportunity
A behavioral health organization operating multiple psychiatric care facilities in Illinois is seeking Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) to support patient care within structured psychiatric treatment environments.
This role is essential to maintaining safe, therapeutic environments for individuals receiving behavioral health services. The QMHP/MHP will work closely with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to provide case management, facilitate therapeutic programming, and support treatment planning for patients.
The position plays a critical role in patient engagement, crisis stabilization, and ensuring compliance with behavioral health regulations and standards of care.

Patient Support & Therapeutic Services
Facilitate therapeutic group sessions and psychoeducational programming
Provide direct support to patients within psychiatric care environments
Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation
Support individuals experiencing acute behavioral health challenges

Case Management & Care Coordination
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings
Coordinate care plans with psychiatrists, nurses, and clinical leadership
Monitor patient progress and assist with behavioral health interventions
Provide patient advocacy and ensure continuity of care

Documentation & Compliance
Complete clinical documentation and case notes
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
Ensure documentation meets state and facility guidelines

Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and behavioral health teams
Support implementation of psychiatrist treatment orders
Participate in staff meetings and clinical discussions
**
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
Experience working in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or social services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage crisis situations and work in fast-paced clinical environments

Previous experience in psychiatric hospitals, behavioral health facilities, or residential treatment settings
Experience facilitating group therapy or psychoeducational sessions
Knowledge of case management and behavioral health treatment planning
