Position Overview:

Join our behavioral health team in Syracuse as a Mental Health Therapy Aide supporting evening-shift operations. This role is critical in providing therapeutic assistance and maintaining a safe environment for patients in psychiatric and behavioral health settings.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Certification/Licenses: Current CPR certification is required
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year in mental health settings
  • Direct psychiatric/behavioral health experience required
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proven collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapeutic support and crisis intervention
• Monitor patient safety and behavior during evening shifts
• Assist with group activities and daily therapeutic programs
• Document patient interactions and report changes to clinical staff
• Maintain a therapeutic environment consistent with facility protocols
