    Job Title: Mental Health Therapist (Part-Time) – Inside Safe Program Location: Los Angeles, CA Reports To: Clinical Director or Program Manager Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (24 hours/week) Compensation: Commensurate with experience

    Position Summary: B.A.R.E. Truth Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Therapist to provide trauma-informed, client-centered therapeutic services to individuals enrolled in the Inside Safe program. This part-time position plays a key role in supporting the mental wellness and long-term stability of program participants who are transitioning from homelessness into permanent or interim housing. The ideal candidate has experience working with vulnerable populations and demonstrates cultural humility, clinical expertise, and strong interpersonal skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide individual, group, and crisis intervention therapy to clients experiencing homelessness, trauma, co-occurring disorders, and related challenges.

    Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with program goals and client needs.

    Collaborate with case managers, housing navigators, and external partners to ensure coordinated and integrated care.

    Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation of services in accordance with clinical standards and funding requirements.

    Participate in case conferencing, multidisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing program development activities.

    Provide clinical input on client engagement strategies, behavioral health needs, and service planning.

    Support referral processes and link clients to higher levels of care as appropriate.

    Uphold ethical and legal standards consistent with state licensure requirements and agency policies.

    Qualifications:

    Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

    Current California licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) or registration as an Associate (ASW, AMFT, APCC) under clinical supervision.

    Minimum two years of experience providing therapy to individuals with complex trauma, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders.

    Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and housing-first principles.

    Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals experiencing homelessness.

    Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health record systems preferred.

    Bilingual Spanish/English or other languages a plus.

    Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person services at program sites or housing locations in Los Angeles. Flexible scheduling is available within the 24-hour weekly requirement. Evening or weekend availability may be requested to meet participant needs.
