    Position Summary

    Warriors Heart is seeking compassionate and mission-driven Therapists to join their team at the Bandera, TX, facility. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive, trauma-informed treatment for veterans, first responders, and active-duty military personnel recovering from chemical dependency, PTSD, and co-occurring psychological disorders. The ideal candidate is an experienced clinician with a passion for serving the Warrior population.     About Warriors Heart Services:
    Warriors Heart is a privately funded inpatient treatment center dedicated exclusively to the Warrior Class—active-duty military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, and first responders. Located on a 543-acre private ranch in Bandera, TX, Warriors Heart provides a holistic, healing environment. Their 42-day residential program combines detox, step-down levels of care, and dual-diagnosis treatment for chemical dependency and trauma, creating a space of trust, camaraderie, and shared service for those who have dedicated their lives to protecting others.

    Mission:
    To bring healing and restoration to warriors facing substance abuse, PTSD, and trauma, while fostering community, connection, and personal growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Client Evaluation & Care Planning

    • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
    • Facilitate client intakes, discharge summaries, and aftercare planning to support long-term recovery.
    • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to ensure aligned, holistic care.

    Clinical Treatment

    • Provide individual and group therapy sessions with a maximum caseload of 10 clients.
    • Deliver dual-diagnosis treatment integrating trauma-informed and 12-Step modalities.
    • Maintain timely, compliant documentation using Alliva (EHR) in accordance with Joint Commission and state regulations.

    Team Collaboration & Mentorship

    • Collaborate with dual-diagnosis clinicians, LCDCs, and medical providers to ensure comprehensive care.
    • Participate in daily clinical huddles, interdisciplinary discussions, and crisis intervention planning.
    • Contribute to peer learning, mentorship, and the supportive “warrior-to-warrior” culture within the organization.

    Growth & Professional Development

    • Engage in ongoing training and professional development focused on trauma, crisis intervention, and chemical dependency treatment.
    • Participate in clinical supervision (provided onsite) if working toward independent licensure.
    • Support the continuous enhancement of treatment programming and therapeutic offerings.

    Qualifications

    • Licensure: LPC, LCSW, LMSW, or LPC-A in TX
    • Substance Use: LCDC credential required for substance abuse counselor roles
    • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience preferred
    • Expertise: Strong background in trauma, substance use, dual-diagnosis, and 12-Step integration
    • Additional: Life experience with addiction, recovery, or military/first responder culture is highly valued
