    Job Description

     

    SUMMARY: Works with Divisional management to develop and administer human resources policies, programs and services, including legal compliance, employee benefits, employee relations, employment practices, and procedures, employee communications as well as employee events and assists department with recruitment by performing the following duties.

     

    1. Advises Managers on disciplining and termination procedures. *

    2. Ensures company is compliant with all federal, state and local human resources laws. *

    3. Keeps up to date on changes and updates in employment law. *

    4. Oversees the employee benefits programs including medical dental, life, disability insurance, supplemental medical and 401k.*

    5. Manages orientation program for welcoming and integrating new employees. *

    6. Oversees employee record keeping including new hires, performance appraisals, employee transfers, separations and exit interviews. *

    7. Creates and maintains current job descriptions for all employees. *

    8. Acts as employee benefits liaison between insurance carriers and process appropriate

    documents as needed.

    1. Serves as a liaison for management team and supervises employees on human capital

    issues that affect performance and business relationships.

    1. Fosters a workplace environment consistent with the values and vision of the company.

    2. Meets deadlines, prioritizes company assignments and maintains professional composure

    under pressure and dynamic conditions.

    1. Leads conflict resolution and maintains a constructive working relationship with employees

    at all levels of the organization.

    1. Act as liaison with Corporate HR to implement corporate HR initiatives including HR

    information systems (HRIS). Familiar with Success Factor and Workday is helpful.

    1. Establish new HR policies as appropriate and/or review existing policies to ensure they

    are up to date and relevant

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Excel experience.
