    MentorWorks Education Capital, a workforce development company, is looking for a Business Analyst to join one of our employer partners. Candidates will be screened by the MentorWorks team. If selected, the candidate will move on in the process to our employment partner.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Business Analyst

    Lead process innovation through project management and execution to achieve strategic goals and operational excellence. Collaborate with partner teams, identify root causes to problems and use data driven approaches to develop and implement new business processes and solutions. The role encompasses all projects from top management based on the company needs and should go above and beyond assigned responsibility to achieve success.

    - Level: Junior to Middle (min. 4+ yrs of related experience)

    - Contract period: 11/20/2023 – 10/31/2024

    - Work Location: Ridgefield Park, NJ (must be able to work onsite, not negotiable)

    Requirements & Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering or related field

    - At least 3-4 years of experience working as a data/business analyst, project manager, or in a process improvement role

    - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity, and managing competing priorities

    - Have project and program management skills with several years of experience initiating activities, setting priorities, managing multiple priorities and delivering on-time results

    - Enjoy learning new business processes quickly and efficiently as well as championing project requirements on behalf of business owners

    - A strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to transform goals into actionable plans that you will drive end-to-end

    - Work independently as well as in a team environment to achieve team goals and complete assignments within established deadlines

    - Ability to quickly learn and understand new topics, businesses, and processes through research and interviews with subject matter experts

    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially pertaining to sales, operations, logistics, system, and financial functions

    - Willing to work in the office per company guideline and travel up to 10%

    - Have experience using data visualization, automation and analytics tools preferred (not required)

    Responsibilities

    - Support company-wide system implementation and business process improvement projects through evaluation of current work processes and execution of improvement strategies

    - Analyze, visualize and automate data processes working independently or with cross functional teams

    - Evaluate business needs and initiate quantitative and qualitative analysis to support project proposal or evaluation results

    - Lead business requirement gathering and manage comprehensive project documentation

    - Develop processes to efficiently manage, monitor, and track project deliverables

    - Manage relationships and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders

    - Lead project team meetings to communicate project status

    - Prepare materials in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point to be presented within and outside of the team
