MentorWorks Education Capital, a workforce development company, is looking for Bank Tellers to join one of our bank partners. Candidates interviewed and selected to advance will receive support and guidance from the MentorWorks team through the application process to ensure your best self is in front of our corporate partner.

Our bank partner is Massachusetts-based and eager to help new and experienced Tellers skill up and discover success in the banking industry. No previous Teller experience is required. Ideal candidates will enjoy working with people, multitasking, and have a genuine interest in learning about the business of banking.

INTERESTED IN STARTING A CAREER IN THE BANKING INDUSTRY? THE BANK TELLER ROLE IS AN EXCELLENT WAY TO GET YOUR FOOT IN THE DOOR, AS TELLERS WILL PARTICIPATE IN TWO WEEKS OF PAID TRAINING IN THE BASICS OF THE JOB. FURTHER TRAINING IS CONDUCTED THROUGH ON-THE-JOB EXPOSURE, ACADEMIC PROGRAMS, AND COMPANY COURSES.

TELLERS WILL HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO SHADOW OTHER BRANCH EMPLOYEES AND GAIN INSIGHT INTO THEIR ROLES!

 In this role, you will learn:

• A deep knowledge of bank products and services

• How to greet customers, make them feel welcome, and engage them to learn about their financial needs.

• Bank security and compliance policies and procedures.

• How to process financial transactions like deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, etc.

• Cash drawer balancing and settlement procedures.

• Navigating cross selling and up selling opportunities, matching products and benefits to the specific needs of customers.

• Developing new and existing customer relationships.

• Federal and State Compliance Regulations.

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT REQUIRED

Normal office requirements with long periods of standing and continuous customer contact.

Must be willing to work within a flexible six or seven-day workweek.

Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

ONCE HIRED, CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT IS DEPENDENT UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TELLER TRAINING, WHICH INCLUDES AN EXAM.
