The Superintendent will have a deep understanding of dewatering projects and how to execute them safely. They will schedule, dispatch, and manage personnel, material and equipment to safely install and remove dewatering and treatment systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete all daily reporting and project specific paperwork daily.
- Set daily project progress goals, in accordance with project labor budget, for crew and report progress or issues to Operations Manager.
- Ensure all work is being performed safely, site safety procedures are being following, all Griffin personnel are utilizing proper PPE and all work is being performed in accordance with Griffin's SOPs.
- Assist the Operations Manager in obtaining, training and maintaining an effective workforce.
- Safe operation of hand and power tools, pumps, fusing machines, and electrical equipment.
- Maintain orderliness of project site as it pertains to Griffin.
- Safe operation of diesel-powered hydraulic lifting equipment (excavators, skid steers, forklifts, front-end loaders, tow motors, pump hoists, track dumps)
- Follow directives accurately and efficiently.
- Effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
- Advanced operation of Griffin drill rigs and excavators with methods including:
-Bucket Auger Method
-Track Rig (Soil Mec/Mait/Bauer/etc)
-Truck Rig (Gus Pech)
-Jetting
-Track excavator (Cat/Deere/etc)
Job Requirements
- Legal to work in US.
- Pass a required drug and background screen.
- College Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Geology or minimum 5 years' experience in a related field.
- Valid driver license and safe driving record.
- Percent of Travel Required – 50-75%.
- OSHA 30 Certified.
- TWIC Card.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience managing construction and/or drilling crews.
Preferred Experience
- Prior dewatering experience in various methodologies.
- Water well drilling experience with various drilling methods, a plus.
- Hold state drilling licenses.
- CDL (Class A or B)
Physical Demands
- Able to frequently lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to load, unload, and move large equipment and tools.
- Continuous walking, stair climbing, and lifting.
- Full range of physical motions associated with general labor work.
- Continual exposure to all outdoor weather conditions (extreme heat and cold); exposure to noise and fumes generated from motorized equipment.
