We're pursuing an experienced and leadership-minded Estate Planning and Probate Attorney for our full-service Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianship, Medicaid, and Trust Administration office. The compensation, bonus, and work-life integration plan are conditional on your previous background. Responsibilities: • Design simple to complex Estate Planning packages that honor clients' needs & wishes utilizing Lipman’s Westlaw and Wealth Counsel from scratch for personalized and complex estates. • Review and draft comprehensive estate planning packages, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. • Oversee a team of Attorneys and Paralegals to ensure strategy is set on each case and quality of legal services are to the standard of the Firm. • Advise clients regarding retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance options. • Discuss plans with clients concerning incapacity, Medicaid planning, and distributing assets. • Conduct initial consultations for estate planning, probate, and Medicaid planning clientele, as necessary. • Must be comfortable with contemporaneously tracking and documenting time electronically. • Attend court hearings and oversee paralegal work on a wide range of probate, guardianship, and trust matters. • Communicate & engage with clients meeting in-person and virtually. • Proofread and write general and complex legal correspondence with clients. • Documentation and process systemization of drafting wills and trusts. • Have a strategic and results-oriented approach to solving clients’ problems and communicating the same in an approachable and understandable manner. • Ability to oversee the legal work of others and assist in developing attorneys, and oversee their production and legal work while maintaining matters. Qualifications: • Actively licensed in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. • Minimum fifteen years of estate planning, probate, Medicaid, and guardianship experience. • Exceptional legal research and writing skills with a strong analytical aptitude. • Demonstrated presentation skills and a natural ability to engage with clients respectfully and confidently. • Demonstrated ability to take complex legal problems and develop solutions in a detailed and efficient manner to accomplish client goals. Compensation: $170,000 - $190,000 yearly
