All applicants must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, and drug testing in order to qualify for employment We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Responsibilities: • Perform oil changes and fluid checks on customer vehicles, including draining and replacing engine oil, checking and filling transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids • Clean the shop floor and all work areas, and ensure all safety regulations are followed • Maintain shop inventory by recording oil and parts usage and reordering supplies when needed • Document all service procedures performed and parts installed or replaced • Lubricate chassis components and check tire pressure and tread depth • Provide suggestions for additional maintenance depending on the vehicle's age, mileage, and other factors • The Mercedes-Benz Van Vehicle Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards • Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required • Proficiency with computers and research information Qualifications: • Customer service skills are essential for this role • Experience working on automobiles or as a lubricant technician of a year or more is preferred • Must be capable of safely using tools, car lifts, and other garage equipment • Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds • High school diploma or equivalent • Mercedes-Benz Van Technician candidate must have working experience with Diesel and gas vehicles • Must have a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record and must have the ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug test • The Mercedes Van Vehicle Service Technician must have a strong background and skills in performing diagnostic assessment and repairs, a great work ethic, and a strong approach to customer satisfaction a must • Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs • Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Required) Compensation: $35 - $45 hourly
