Overtime Pay! All hours worked over 35 hours a week will be reimbursed with $15hr

There are three tiers of Employment:

Tier 1: Employees who work 30+ hours a week are considered full-time salaried employees. They earn $36k year salary. These employees receive Health Insurance, ten days of vacation, five personal days, and 2 sick days.

Tier 2: 30+ hours a week. These employees will receive ten vacation days.

Tier 3: Under 29 hours per week. 2 sick days.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Behavior Assistant to join our team at Mercedes and Family LLC in Garfield, NJ. As a Behavior Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

Implement behavior support plans and interventions.

Provide direct support to individuals in various settings such as home, school, and community

Collect and record data on individual's behavior and progress

Communicate effectively with team members, families, and other professionals

Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation

Requirements:

One+ year of experience working with youth with emotional challenges

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is a plus

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
