    Job description ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW The Merchant Risk Council (MRC) was founded in 2000 by a small group of merchants with a common desire to meaningfully address issues arising from an increase in eCommerce fraud. The MRC is a growing not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization. The MRC promotes coordinated efforts of the largest eCommerce organizations to support and improve online payments for merchants, solution providers, consumers, and other stakeholders. The MRC currently offers US and European centric programs and services and leads industry networking, education, bench-marking and advocacy programs. Since its inception, it has grown into a global organization with over 500 merchant members and sponsor organizations in 22 countries. Of that global membership hundreds of companies represent the largest brands found online with revenues measured in billions of dollars. Staff: Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, the MRC is a team of seventeen (14) FTE in the US and three (3) operating our European entity. Sponsors: The MRC enjoys a strong relationship with key industry service providers in the form of sponsorships. Global payments, risk management, technology companies and fraud management brands are active in the leadership of the organization and support it fiscally through active financial sponsorship. Board: The organization enjoys an active global Board of Directors with most seats held by merchants. Other seats are held by industry experts and sponsor members. In addition to the global board, the organization is represented by the American and European regional advisory boards. Job: The Speaker Coordinator will deliver all aspects of MRC speaker relationship management to ensure the success of MRC events including in-person and virtual conferences, events, summits, networking events, webinars, etc. This role will be the primary point of contact for all MRC event speakers, and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a good relationship with high-priority speakers. Efficient management of the integrity, quality, and accuracy of speaker information on all relevant MRC web portals, speaker resource center, and public-facing materials is paramount for the success of this role. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, driven, flexible and confident individual with excellent customer service and organizational skills, and have an excellent reputation for positive engagement. Must be able to work alone or with the team, with a proven capability of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Roles and Responsibilities Manage the acceptance and preparation process for all MRC event speakers, including contract fulfillments, speaker logistics, management of speaker resource center/portal and event agenda updates Serve as the main point of contact for all speakers Develop a plan for engaging with speakers, and organizing all speaker content for each MRC event, including management of speaker presentations, collection of headshots, biographies, and coordinating speaker training sessions with all necessary internal and external stakeholders Ensure efficient and timely speaker coordination, including management of all speaker session scheduling, session updates using event management software, building out and scheduling speaker meetings, recording sessions, and coordinating all necessary introductions Ensure all speaker costs meet MRC speaker budget including speaker numbers for each event, registration comps, travel expenses, speaking fees, etc. Measure results (evaluations, attendance, survey feedback) related to speaker performance, report findings back to key stakeholders, and provide recommendations for future speaker engagements Produce and maintain a list of potential keynote speakers for regional conferences QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Experience managing speaker relations for conferences, trade shows, events, etc.; B2B a plus Solid experience with registration and event management software a plus, preferably Cvent Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus (Salesforce) Demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals into operational initiatives and successfully execute Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills (energetic, positive, professional) Strong project management skills and effective time management Detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through, highly organized, comfortable within a fast-paced, flexible work environment and working to tight deadlines Ability to work in a global environment working with colleagues in different timezones Ability to travel up to 15% Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required (6 x a year, 3 in the US and 3 international) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
