Summary: The Merchant Sales Specialist is responsible for growing fee revenue through existing clients, internal referrals, and new business development. This position is the escalated point of contact for Merchant relationships after the processor.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Achieve fee income goals through the promotion and sales of Merchant services
- Cultivate and maintain an active pipeline through existing clients, internal referrals and self-sourcing
- Profile client needs to identify cross-sell opportunities within the Bank
- Provide a consultative, solutions-based sales approach fitting within the Bank's sales culture
- Coordinates, schedules and conducts onsite, web or phone-based sales calls and product demos appropriately
- Assists in the overall marketing of Merchant Processing and Merchant related promotions
Qualifications:
- College degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting or business preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years Merchant Services sales
- Strong knowledge of Merchant Services products and services
- Attention to detail/time management/project management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills for in-person client meetings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Team focused and results driven
