    Job Description

    As a summer intern at Merchant e-Solutions, you will:

    • Participate in intern events throughout the summer

    ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

    Work with the company’s Regulatory Risk and Compliance division on Governance Risk and Compliance initiatives, including, applying data analytics techniques for analyzing business data, assisting in conducting risk assurance engagements and provide Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program Management support.

    REGULATORY COMPLIANCE PROGRAM FRAMEWORK

    • Provide support with maintaining an inventory of laws and regulations that impact the company
    • Help support baseline risk assessments. The initial assessments of potential risk in the organization
    • Assist with collecting and analyzing employee compliance training data for reporting
    • Initiate development of an internal compliance survey. To identify both strengths and opportunity for improvements in the compliance program.

    RISK ASSURANCE ENGAGEMENTS

    • Participate in Risk Assurance Testing routines
    • Collaborate with Regulatory Risk Manager in gathering and analyzing audit evidence
    • Record the details of risks identified in the Risk Register
    • Follow up on compliance concerns and corrective action; status updates

    PROVIDE TEAM MEETING SUPPORT

    • Prepare Agenda
    • Attend meetings
    • Take notes
    • Ensure follow-up items are complete
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Current student working toward a bachelor’s degree
    • Must have sufficient credits to demonstrate completion through junior year of degree eligible program
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong written and verbal communications skills
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Demonstrated track record of balancing multiple competing priorities
    • Experience leading teams, committees, clubs, or other organizations
    • Undergraduate juniors and seniors will be considered
    • Masters students may apply, however, salary is targeted to undergraduate candidates

    SALARY:

    • Hourly rate of $20.00/hour for actual hours worked
    • Overtime eligible
    • Parking is paid for by the company
    • Free drinks and snacks are available to all employees
    • Assignment is 10-12 weeks in length
