POSITION: TECHNICAL WRITER/SCIENTIFIC - II

LOCATION: WEST POINT, PA 19486

DURATION: 12+ MONTHS (POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY:

·       Applications are being sought for a position in the Merck Research Laboratories, Compliance Operations team supporting Documentation Management and Compliance activities for Bioprocess Clinical Manufacturing & Technology (BCMT).

·       The individual will support pilot-scale campaigns for the GMP manufacture of bulk biologic (vaccines and therapeutic proteins) clinical supplies.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Coordinate and maintain review and approval process for critical documentation.

·       Administering various functions within the Learning Management System (LMS).

·       Manage training curricula as needed.

·       Manage templates for critical documentation and supporting documents.

·       Manage critical documents within electronic systems and vaults, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines

EDUCATION:

·       Maximum of Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in a related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

·       Working knowledge of cGMP requirements

·       At least 5 years of experience working within cGMP environment is preferred

·       Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

·       Effective verbal and written communication skills
