    Job Description

    Meridian MedLegal Management is a medical legal management company that provides administrative services to medical experts who offer their expert opinion on cases involved in litigation. Meridian is in its tenth year of business and has built an excellent reputation in the medical legal industry. We serve all of California with offices in Roseville and Newport Beach. We are looking for the an office manager, preferably with experience in human resources, to add to our management team. This is an excellent opportunity with excellent growth potential!

    We are looking for someone who is professional, has a great work ethic and can continue to motivate and cultivate a positive work environment. This position is a multifaceted position, which will require general office management, as well as an emphasis on human resources and some accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidates will posses a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    • Proven experience as an Office Manager
    • Experience in Human Resources
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field OR a combination of successful equivalent experience and education
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
    • Experience in QuickBooks
    • Ability to travel to our Southern California office as needed
    • Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
    • Effective problem solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with staff, experts and vendors.
    • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
    • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of Meridian’s management team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    MANAGEMENT

    • Assist CEO with all HR/IT/miscellaneous issues
    • Work collaboratively and effectively as part of Meridian’s management team.
    • Point of contact for accounting conflict resolution with clients and experts

    OFFICE MANAGEMENT

    • Serve as the point person for office manager duties including maintenance, supplies, equipment, issues and problem solving
    • Facilitate IT issues with our IT Company
    • Maintain office operations and procedures
    • Handle office leases for both offices
    • Responsible for current exam room rental leases and locating new ones as needed
    • Assist in scheduling of internal departmental meetings

    HUMAN RESOURCES

    • Assist in the hiring of all new employees
    • Responsible for onboarding all new employees
    • Schedule and assist with annual performance reviews
    • Handling disciplinary actions as needed
    • Point of contact for all human resources issues, including inquiries and conflict resolution
    • Handle all EDD inquiries/issues
    • Maintain employee files
    • Responsible for Workers Compensation audits/issues
    • Responsible for all benefit administration
    • Process payroll through ADP and handle staff inquires/issues

    ACCOUNTING

    • Responsible for all accounts payable including paying company bills, experts, vendors, leases, insurance and retirement etc...
    • Assist Meridian's Business Manager, when necessary
