  • Responsibilities

    Merit Technologies is looking for a Full-Time dispatcher who will provide management of daily activities using their technical resources to meet the operational needs of the company. As a Dispatcher you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the services of our team. You will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of tickets and personnel. You will also monitor the ticket queue and update the tickets in our system. This would include informing the team of tickets, updating the ticket statuses, and coordinating with the client. This role also includes procurement of equipment and inventory management of that equipment. Merit offers strong opportunities to grow with the company, professionally and financially.     Requirements

    Receive incoming service requests, work orders, and calls from customers, clients, or internal departments.

    Schedule and assign tasks to appropriate technicians, or field personnel based on availability and proximity to the job site.

    Monitor and track the status and progress of assignments to ensure timely completion. This would include checking ticket statuses to ensure that SLAs are met.

    Updating clientele on the status of in-progress tickets.

    Schedule tickets based on the engineers’ calendars.

    Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in priorities, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.

    Manage and procure inventory needed for tickets

    Prior experience in managing a ticketing or dispatch system is preferred, but not necessary.

    Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

    Experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

    Dispatch Coordination

    You will be stationed at our job site office to coordinate and dispatch tickets during normal business hours. During this time, you will be coordinating tasks that come in with the primary technicians. During downtime, there are reports and inventory to maintain. There are situations where an emergency ticket will come in after hours and you will be notified. Your responsibility at that point would be to reach out to the technician on call to dispatch them and update the ticket. Onsite presence after hours is not necessary for this position, but the ticket queue will notify 24/7 of high-alert tickets.
