    The Personal Loan Processor will assist in a variety of loan application activities and will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of personal loans.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform as point person in communications and interaction with loan applicants to educate, assist and request information and documentation to complete the loan application.
    • Provide prompt and competent service while responding to incoming phone calls and e-mails from applicants in a positive and professional manner.
    • Responsible for facilitating the various components of the application decision process, including verifying the applicant’s identity, income, and their ability to pay.
    • Coordinate, track and maintain all loans to ensure applications are completed in a timely manner.
    • Strong knowledge of fair lending, equal opportunity and truth in lending laws. Maintain working knowledge of policies, procedures governing loan processing and compliance requirements.
    • Keeps abreast of developments in work related state and federal regulations, systems and procedures.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma and a minimum of one-year work experience in a credit related field required.
    • Experience with, and demonstrated skill at, the following: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, E-Mail, and Database software.

    SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to process supporting loan documentation including manual calculations involved in determining monthly income from pay stubs, bank statements, award letters, etc.
    • Must have strong communication skills (both orally and written).
