    Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:

    Conduct ad-hoc and routine analysis on targeting, product sales, and promotional activity with appropriate communication to internal staff and sales. Evaluate and communicate key trends for sales and marketing. Triage and solve reporting and analytics questions as they arrive from stakeholders.

    Design and develop sales reporting and data management tools for field that can be scaled, repeated, and replicated.

    Prepare, validate, and distribute ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by management.

    Provide quantitative rationality/recommendations to management team for evaluation of field sales specific activities.

    Collaborate with various departments (Marketing, Finance, and IT) in building a robust solution for company growing needs. Develop and identify key motivational drivers and strategic business management tools to increase productivity and sales effectiveness.

    Able to work with field teams in response to reporting questions, current rep sales status, etc.

    Work with Sales Management on territory alignment. Support new territory alignment and mapping initiatives.

    Work and communicate with senior management trends, ideas, and opportunities that will enhance revenue and decrease corporate expenses.

    Perform market research using internal and external data sources to triangulate market size, share, and performance of products over time.

    Ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget, performing any additional duties as required/assigned by supervisor.

     

    THIS ROLE IS 60% PROJECT WORK, 40% BUSINESS SUPPORT

    The project work includes creating new ways to gain insights for the business by expanding our reporting suite by creating new reports and visualizations to be presented to the business. You will also be involved in testing new systems and integrations as new dashboards are created.

    The business support includes:

    • Responding to business requests
    • Maintaining our current reporting suite (updating SQL data and tables, and feeding data to tableau)

    Our current reporting suite includes 3 data sources:

    1. Transactional data (SQL server queries from SAP. plus manual table uploads to Tableau
    2. Automated feeds from Veeva and Salesforce to Tableau (will need to create queries)
    3. External market intelligence data via FTP to upload manually

    THIS ROLE WILL BE BUILDING NEW TABLEAU REPORTS TO CREATE DATA VISUALIZATIONS FOR THE BUSINESS. THIS ROLE WILL BE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH THE BUSINESS TO PROVIDE INSIGHTS UPON REQUEST AND PROVIDING MONTHLY POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS

    Must Have:

    • 3 years data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI)
    • 1-3 years building Dashboards
    • 2 year Report writing
    • 3 years FP&A or Sales Operations
    • 1 year presenting insights to executives
    • 3 to 5 years of analytics experience in either pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or managed care industries, with particular focus on roles within commercial operations, finance, or marketing.
    • Bachelors in business or life science
