    Consultant

    The consultant role directly impacts recommendations and results for Metafora clients, ranging from privately held to Fortune 50 companies. This is a client facing role with direct access to C-suite executives and the life cycle of their accounts.

    What you'll do:

    • Interfacing with clients to understand how their business processes work today, identifying areas for improvement, and creating process maps to demonstrate how changes will help them reach their goals
    • Developing change management and organizational strategies and executing on them to assist clients in pivoting to their future business state
    • Leading client engagements where you’ll be analyzing business processes, communicating recommendations, and executing suggested changes
    • Working closely with the business development team to meet all proposed project performance expectations
    • Utilizing Metafora best practices and practitioner guidelines to deliver high-quality, branded service
    • Communicating effectively with other concentration and/or niche leaders to deliver the best solution for the client

    How you’ll do it:

    • Authenticity: Serve as a reliable and consistent support system for peers. Consistently seek and provide feedback to internal and external teams.
    • Communication: Initiate and lead difficult conversations with clients. Deliver bad news tactfully and don’t deliver problems without solutions. High impact communication that involves call to action and influence when necessary.
    • Operational Decision Making: Utilize industry expertise and market insight to inform project delivery. Ability to execute with limited resources. Ability to make quick, smart, high impact decisions and pivot when required.
    • Solution Orientation: Create new processes and best practices based on past experience. Lead project delivery through roadblocks and pivots. Find new and creative solutions to problems faced by the delivery team.
    • Quality Orientation: Audit work product of self and other team members to ensure highest quality output. Consider broader business impacts of proposed solutions - other stakeholders, processes or programs that may be impacted.
    • Establishing Customer Value: Serve as business advisor and SME to key client stakeholders. Identify and secure upsell opportunities and follow on work. Clearly articulate ROI to client stakeholders. Regularly establish new, and improve existing processes that support customer satisfaction.

    What we need:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related degree
    • 4-7 years of experience in consulting and/or the supply chain, transportation or logistics industry
    • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated project management skills with ability to prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward
    • Ability to simultaneously work independently and within a team culture
    • Proven ability to add value across multiple project delivery teams
    • Familiarity with Tableau (or alternative data visualization software) and SQL preferred
