About the Role
Arts Bonita is seeking a skilled Teaching Artist to teach metal arts classes and workshops in the Metal discipline. This position offers the opportunity to share your metalworking expertise with students of all skill levels in our creative community.
Responsibilities
Teach metal arts classes and workshops to diverse age groups and skill levels
Demonstrate techniques in metal shaping, cutting, and welding
Guide students in creating both large and small metal pieces
Maintain a safe and organized studio environment
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in metal arts, including:
Metal shaping techniques
Metal cutting
Welding (various methods)
Ability to work with projects of varying scales (large and small pieces)
Strong communication skills and patience working with students
Commitment to safety protocols and best practices
Previous teaching or instruction experience preferred but not required
Schedule
Part-time, hourly position
Primarily daytime hours and/or nights and weekends
Flexible scheduling based on class offerings
