OVERVIEW
Metal Building Assembler with 3+ years’ experience with skills that include both erection and sheeting phases of pre-engineered metal building installation. Dedication to safety is priority one. Ability to read erection drawings and manufacturer’s installation manuals. Ability to work as a primary steel connector, secondary steel connector or building sheeter.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Follow all OSHA 1926 safety guidelines (as a minimum)
- Follow all Schwob Steel Structures safety guidelines
- Follow all job specific safety programs as outlined and instructed by the project supervisor or job specific orientation provided by GC
- Communicating effectively with project superintendent/foreman
- Assist in Unloading material
- Assist in Material shakeout and organization
- Understanding manufacturer’s part numbers
- Assist in erecting pre-engineered primary and secondary steel
- Detail primary and secondary steel
- Assist in installing single skin wall panels
- Assist in installing insulated metal wall panels
- Assist in installing standing seam roof with various insulation systems
- Assist in installing metal deck
- Participate in safety training programs
- Participate in quality training programs
- Must be comfortable working at elevated heights
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 3+ years’ experience in pre-engineered metal building erection
- Qualified rigger / signal person (must be able to pass 3rd party certification)
- OSHA 10
- Certified Reach Forklift Operator
- Certified Aerial Work Platform Operator
- Ability to read Manufacturer’s Erection Drawings
- Physical Strength when performing heavy labor that is required from construction workers such as lifting heavy material in excess of 50lbs.
- Physical stamina in order to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot and cold weather.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
$20-25hr
