OVERVIEW

Metal Building Assembler with 3+ years’ experience with skills that include both erection and sheeting phases of pre-engineered metal building installation. Dedication to safety is priority one. Ability to read erection drawings and manufacturer’s installation manuals. Ability to work as a primary steel connector, secondary steel connector or building sheeter.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Follow all OSHA 1926 safety guidelines (as a minimum)
• Follow all Schwob Steel Structures safety guidelines
• Follow all job specific safety programs as outlined and instructed by the project supervisor or job specific orientation provided by GC
• Communicating effectively with project superintendent/foreman
• Assist in Unloading material
• Assist in Material shakeout and organization
• Understanding manufacturer’s part numbers
• Assist in erecting pre-engineered primary and secondary steel
• Detail primary and secondary steel
• Assist in installing single skin wall panels
• Assist in installing insulated metal wall panels
• Assist in installing standing seam roof with various insulation systems
• Assist in installing metal deck
• Participate in safety training programs
• Participate in quality training programs
• Must be comfortable working at elevated heights

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 3+ years’ experience in pre-engineered metal building erection
• Qualified rigger / signal person (must be able to pass 3rd party certification)
• OSHA 10
• Certified Reach Forklift Operator
• Certified Aerial Work Platform Operator
• Ability to read Manufacturer’s Erection Drawings
• Physical Strength when performing heavy labor that is required from construction workers such as lifting heavy material in excess of 50lbs.
• Physical stamina in order to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot and cold weather.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

$20-25hr
